Ingredients

Instructions

  1. 1. Cut the onion in half and peel it. Dice the onion finely. Peel the garlic and chop it finely as well. Drain the can of beans in a sieve.
  2. 2. Heat one tablespoon of oil in a pot over high heat. Sauté the onions and garlic for about 2 minutes until soft. Add the bulgur and toast it briefly. Deglaze with broth. Bring to a boil, cover the pot, and let the bulgur swell on low heat for 7 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  3. 3. Wash the mint and pat it dry. Pick the leaves off the stems. Add the beans and mint to the pot with the bulgur. Roughly mash the mixture with a spoon. Season generously with salt, pepper, and cumin. Form four flat patties. Place them in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  4. 4. Toast the almonds in a pan without oil over medium heat for 2 minutes until golden brown. Cut a tomato in a cross shape on top. Pour boiling water over it and immediately shock it in cold water. Peel off the skin. Halve the tomato, remove the core, and chop the flesh roughly. Wash the mango, peel it, and cut the flesh away from the pit. Dice the flesh. Wash the lemon, halve it, and squeeze out the juice. Wash a second tomato and slice it thinly. Wash the arugula and let it drain.
  5. 5. Put the chopped tomato, mango cubes, and toasted almonds into a tall container. Blend everything finely into a sauce. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
  6. 6. Heat two tablespoons of oil in the pan over high heat. Fry the patties for 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Cut the burger buns in half. Toast the bun halves in the frying fat for about 1 minute until golden brown, if desired.
  7. 7. Spread some mango sauce on the bun halves. Top with tomato slices, arugula, and a bean patty. Drizzle with the remaining mango sauce. Close the burgers. Enjoy your meal!
