  1. 1. Add 270 grams of milk, butter, yeast, and one teaspoon of sugar to your mixing container.
  2. 2. Warm the mixture for 4 minutes at 37 degrees Celsius on speed 1.
  3. 3. Add the flour and knead the dough for 2 minutes on the dough kneading setting.
  4. 4. Add the egg and salt, then knead for another 2 minutes on the dough kneading setting.
  5. 5. Take the dough out of the container and shape it into a smooth ball.
  6. 6. Place the dough ball into a slightly oiled bowl.
  7. 7. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
  8. 8. Knead the risen dough briefly again by hand.
  9. 9. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape them into small balls.
  10. 10. Place the dough balls with some space between them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  11. 11. Let the buns rise again for about 10 minutes, covered.
  12. 12. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat in the meantime.
  13. 13. Whisk 1 egg yolk with 30 grams of milk in a small bowl.
  14. 14. Brush the buns carefully with the egg yolk and milk mixture.
  15. 15. Bake the buns in the oven for about 25 minutes.
  16. 16. Carefully remove the finished buns from the oven.
  17. 17. Serve the burger buns best while still lukewarm.
