🍽️ Homemade Fluffy Burger Buns

Ingredients
- milk 300 g
- butter 60 g
- yeast, fresh 0.5 pcs
- sugar 1 tsp
- wheat flour, type 550 550 g
- eggs 1 pcs
- salt 1 tsp
- oil for greasing 1 tsp
- egg yolk 1 pcs
Instructions
- 1. Add 270 grams of milk, butter, yeast, and one teaspoon of sugar to your mixing container.
- 2. Warm the mixture for 4 minutes at 37 degrees Celsius on speed 1.
- 3. Add the flour and knead the dough for 2 minutes on the dough kneading setting.
- 4. Add the egg and salt, then knead for another 2 minutes on the dough kneading setting.
- 5. Take the dough out of the container and shape it into a smooth ball.
- 6. Place the dough ball into a slightly oiled bowl.
- 7. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
- 8. Knead the risen dough briefly again by hand.
- 9. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape them into small balls.
- 10. Place the dough balls with some space between them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 11. Let the buns rise again for about 10 minutes, covered.
- 12. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat in the meantime.
- 13. Whisk 1 egg yolk with 30 grams of milk in a small bowl.
- 14. Brush the buns carefully with the egg yolk and milk mixture.
- 15. Bake the buns in the oven for about 25 minutes.
- 16. Carefully remove the finished buns from the oven.
- 17. Serve the burger buns best while still lukewarm.
