🍰 Plum Dumplings

Ingredients
- yeast, fresh 42 g
- water 20 g
- sugar 130 g
- wheat flour, type 405 500 g
- eggs 1 pc.
- milk 250 g
- salt 1 tsp
- butter 170 g
- plums 15 pc.
- cinnamon 1 tsp
- powdered sugar 50 g
Instructions
- 1. Mix the yeast with the water and 80 grams of sugar in a large bowl.
- 2. Add the flour, the egg, the warm milk, the salt, and 120 grams of soft butter.
- 3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
- 4. Shape the dough into a ball, lightly grease it, and let it rest covered for about 1 hour.
- 5. Wait until the volume of the dough has doubled.
- 6. Halve the plums and remove the pits.
- 7. Mix the plum halves in a bowl with cinnamon and 50 grams of sugar.
- 8. Set the plum filling aside until you need it.
- 9. Grease a large baking dish with baking spray or butter.
- 10. Divide the dough into 15 equal portions.
- 11. Shape each portion into a small ball.
- 12. Slightly flatten each ball.
- 13. Place two plum halves in the center of each dough flat.
- 14. Seal the dough around the filling using your fingertips.
- 15. Place the dumplings in the baking dish with some space between them.
- 16. Melt 50 grams of butter in the microwave or in a pot.
- 17. Brush the dumplings with the melted butter.
- 18. Place the dish in the cold oven.
- 19. Turn on the oven and bake the dumplings until they are golden brown.
- 20. Take the dumplings out of the oven.
- 21. Sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
- 22. Serve the dumplings while still warm.
