  1. 1. Mix the yeast with the water and 80 grams of sugar in a large bowl.
  2. 2. Add the flour, the egg, the warm milk, the salt, and 120 grams of soft butter.
  3. 3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Shape the dough into a ball, lightly grease it, and let it rest covered for about 1 hour.
  5. 5. Wait until the volume of the dough has doubled.
  6. 6. Halve the plums and remove the pits.
  7. 7. Mix the plum halves in a bowl with cinnamon and 50 grams of sugar.
  8. 8. Set the plum filling aside until you need it.
  9. 9. Grease a large baking dish with baking spray or butter.
  10. 10. Divide the dough into 15 equal portions.
  11. 11. Shape each portion into a small ball.
  12. 12. Slightly flatten each ball.
  13. 13. Place two plum halves in the center of each dough flat.
  14. 14. Seal the dough around the filling using your fingertips.
  15. 15. Place the dumplings in the baking dish with some space between them.
  16. 16. Melt 50 grams of butter in the microwave or in a pot.
  17. 17. Brush the dumplings with the melted butter.
  18. 18. Place the dish in the cold oven.
  19. 19. Turn on the oven and bake the dumplings until they are golden brown.
  20. 20. Take the dumplings out of the oven.
  21. 21. Sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
  22. 22. Serve the dumplings while still warm.
