🍽️ Crispy Broccoli Gnocchi Bake with Ham

Ingredients
- Salt pinch
- Broccoli 1 pc.
- Onions, yellow 1 pc.
- Cooked ham 200 g
- Butter 3 tbsp
- Wheat flour, Type 405 3 tbsp
- Milk 500 ml
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Nutmeg, ground pinch
- Gnocchi, fresh 600 g
- Emmental grated 200 g
- Basil, fresh 20 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius fan-forced.
- 2. Bring five liters of salted water to a boil in a large pot.
- 3. Wash the broccoli thoroughly and let it drain well.
- 4. Divide the broccoli into small florets about two centimeters in size.
- 5. Halve the onion and peel it.
- 6. Dice the onion into fine cubes.
- 7. Cut the cooked ham into small cubes as well.
- 8. Melt the butter in a pot over medium heat.
- 9. Sauté the onion cubes for about one minute.
- 10. Dust the onions with flour and stir everything well.
- 11. Let the flour mixture sweat for about one minute.
- 12. Deglaze the mixture with milk while stirring constantly.
- 13. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and grated nutmeg.
- 14. Boil the broccoli in the bubbling salted water for two minutes.
- 15. Add the gnocchi to the water and cook everything for another four minutes.
- 16. Pour the gnocchi and broccoli into a colander.
- 17. Let the pasta-broccoli mixture drain for a short moment.
- 18. Place the drained gnocchi and broccoli into a baking dish.
- 19. Mix the ingredients in the dish with the béchamel sauce.
- 20. Fold in the ham cubes into the mixture.
- 21. Generously sprinkle the bake with cheese.
- 22. Bake the bake in the oven for about twenty minutes.
- 23. Take the bake out of the oven when it is golden brown.
- 24. Wash the basil and pat it dry.
- 25. Pluck the basil leaves from the stems.
- 26. Divide the hot bake onto plates.
- 27. Garnish each plate with the fresh basil leaves.
