🍽️ Crispy Bratwurst Sandwich with Caramelized Beer Onions and Mustard Cream

Ingredients
- Mini roast sausages 300 g
- Onions, yellow 1 pc
- Butter 1 tbsp
- Salt pinch
- Pepper, colorful pinch
- Sugar 1 tbsp
- Beer 100 ml
- Cherry tomatoes 150 g
- Fresh cheese, plain 50 g
- Mustard 1 tbsp
- Crusty bread 2 pcs
- Parsley, fresh 10 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- 2. Place the bratwursts on the grill and cook them until crispy and fully cooked on all sides.
- 3. Peel the onions and slice them into thin rings.
- 4. Melt the butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
- 5. Add the onion rings to the pan and sauté them for about 5 to 10 minutes.
- 6. Season the onions with salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar.
- 7. Stir continuously until the onions start to caramelize (turn golden brown and sweet).
- 8. Deglaze the onions with the beer.
- 9. Let the liquid reduce and thicken for about 2 to 3 minutes.
- 10. Wash the cherry tomatoes under cold water and pat them dry.
- 11. Place the tomatoes in a small pan and heat them for 2 to 3 minutes until warm.
- 12. Mix the cream cheese and mustard in a small bowl until you have a smooth cream.
- 13. Place the bread slices on the grill and toast them until golden brown.
- 14. Spread the mustard-cream cheese mixture generously over the toasted bread slices.
- 15. Top the bread with the warm tomatoes and the caramelized beer onions.
- 16. Place the grilled bratwursts on top of the sandwich.
- 17. Wash the parsley and shake off excess water.
- 18. Finely chop the parsley.
- 19. Sprinkle the parsley over the finished sandwich just before serving.
