🍰 Oven Apples with Orange Caramel Sauce

Ingredients
- apples, red 4 pcs.
- brioche loaf 60 g
- oranges 3 pcs.
- raisins 50 g
- honey 2 tbsp
- butter 5 tbsp
- sugar 100 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Wash the apples thoroughly.
- 3. Remove the core from the apples, but keep the bottom intact.
- 4. Crumble the brioche into small pieces.
- 5. Wash the oranges and grate about one teaspoon of the zest.
- 6. Cut the oranges in half.
- 7. Squeeze the juice from the oranges.
- 8. Put the brioche, raisins, honey, orange zest, and four tablespoons of orange juice into a bowl.
- 9. Mix the filling ingredients well together.
- 10. Fill the apples with the brioche mixture.
- 11. Place some of the filling on top of the apples like a hat.
- 12. Grease a baking dish with one teaspoon of butter.
- 13. Place the filled apples into the dish.
- 14. Bake the apples in the oven for about 45 minutes.
- 15. Take a pan and place it over medium heat.
- 16. Melt the butter and sugar in the pan.
- 17. Stir the mixture until the sugar caramelizes (dark brown and fragrant).
- 18. Carefully pour in the remaining orange juice, as it may splatter.
- 19. Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes until the caramel is dissolved.
- 20. Serve the warm apples with the orange caramel sauce.
