🍽️ Classic Bolognese Sauce

Ingredients
- yellow onions 2 pcs
- carrots 3 pcs
- celery stalks 0.5 pcs
- olive oil 4 tbsp
- ground beef 500 g
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- tomato paste 1 tbsp
- tomatoes, chopped 800 g
- red wine, dry 200 ml
- oregano, dried 1 tsp
- sugar 2 tsp
Instructions
- 1. Halve the onions and peel them. Cut them into very small cubes.
- 2. Peel the carrots and cut off the ends. Grate them coarsely or dice them small.
- 3. Wash the celery and cut off the ends. Dice it finely as well.
- 4. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pot on the highest setting.
- 5. Fry the minced meat in it for about 4 to 5 minutes until it is crumbly.
- 6. Season the meat with salt and pepper.
- 7. Remove the meat from the pot and set it aside.
- 8. Add the remaining oil to the same pot and heat it.
- 9. Add the onions, carrots, and celery to the pot.
- 10. Sauté the vegetables briefly until they become soft.
- 11. Stir the tomato paste into the vegetables.
- 12. Roast the tomato paste for about 1 minute.
- 13. Add the chopped tomatoes to the pot.
- 14. Pour in the red wine.
- 15. Return the fried minced meat to the pot.
- 16. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, oregano, and sugar.
- 17. Let the sauce simmer covered for about 50 minutes.
- 18. Remove the lid and let the sauce reduce uncovered for another 10 minutes.
- 19. Stir the sauce occasionally during this time.
- 20. Finally, taste the Bolognese sauce and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper.
- 21. Serve the sauce and enjoy your meal!
