🍽️ Crispy Baguette with Bean Salad, Ham, and French Dressing

Ingredients
- Salt pinch
- Green beans 1 kg
- Shallots 2 pcs.
- Dill, fresh 30 g
- Sour cream 150 g
- Mayonnaise 1 tbsp
- Vinegar 1 tsp
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Sugar pinch
- Baguette 2 pcs.
- Boiled ham 300 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with fan.
- 2. Bring about 3 liters of salted water to a boil in a large pot.
- 3. Thoroughly wash the beans.
- 4. Trim the ends of the beans thinly.
- 5. Cook the beans in the boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes until they are al dente.
- 6. Drain the beans in a colander.
- 7. Rinse the beans with cold water to stop the cooking process.
- 8. Let the beans drain slightly.
- 9. Halve the shallots and peel them.
- 10. Finely dice or chop the shallots.
- 11. Wash the dill.
- 12. Shake the dill dry.
- 13. Remove the coarse stems from the dill.
- 14. Finely chop the dill.
- 15. Add sour cream, shallots, mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon of vinegar, and dill to a bowl.
- 16. Mix the dressing ingredients well.
- 17. Season the dressing with salt, pepper, and sugar.
- 18. Place the baguette on a rack.
- 19. Bake the baguette in the oven for 5 to 8 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- 20. Take the ham out of the refrigerator.
- 21. Let the ham come to room temperature briefly.
- 22. Cut the ham into strips about 1 cm wide.
- 23. Toss the beans in the dressing.
- 24. Fold the ham into the beans.
- 25. Season the salad to taste with salt and pepper.
- 26. Take the bread out of the oven.
- 27. Cut the baguette diagonally into 2 to 3 cm wide slices.
- 28. Arrange the baguette slices on plates.
- 29. Serve the bean salad alongside.
- 30. Serve the dish and enjoy.
