🍽️ Crispy Cauliflower and Bacon Gratin

Ingredients
- Salt pinch
- Cauliflower 2 pcs
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Bacon strips 200 g
- Sour cream 400 g
- Gouda, grated 200 g
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Chives, fresh 10 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius (top and bottom heat).
- 2. Fill a large pot with about 4 liters of water and add salt.
- 3. Bring the salted water to a boil and cover the pot.
- 4. Thoroughly wash the cauliflower and remove the hard core.
- 5. Break the cauliflower into large florets.
- 6. Add the florets to the boiling salted water.
- 7. Cook the florets for 5 to 7 minutes until they are tender but still firm to the bite.
- 8. Note: Blanching means cooking food briefly in boiling water.
- 9. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium to high heat.
- 10. Fry the bacon for about 4 minutes until crispy.
- 11. Put sour cream, the crispy bacon, and the Gouda cheese into a bowl.
- 12. Mix the ingredients for the sauce well together.
- 13. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
- 14. Drain the cauliflower.
- 15. Place the cauliflower in a baking dish.
- 16. Spread the sauce evenly over the cauliflower.
- 17. Bake the gratin for about 15 minutes in the oven.
- 18. Wash the chives thoroughly.
- 19. Dry the chives with a cloth.
- 20. Cut the chives into fine rings.
- 21. Carefully remove the finished gratin from the oven.
- 22. Sprinkle the chive rings over the dish.
- 23. Serve the gratin immediately and enjoy your meal.
