Ingredients
- Bier 300 ml
- Wheat flour, Type 405 180 g
- Salt Pinch
- Pepper, black ground Pinch
- Cauliflower 1 pc.
- Sunflower oil 200 ml
- Cumin Pinch
- Curry powder Pinch
Instructions
- 1. Place about 150 grams of flour in a bowl.
- 2. Gradually mix the flour with beer until a smooth batter forms.
- 3. Season the batter with salt and pepper.
- 4. Wash the cauliflower thoroughly.
- 5. Remove the leaves and the stem.
- 6. Break the cauliflower head into small florets.
- 7. Slice the florets crosswise into pieces about 4 millimeters thick.
- 8. Place the remaining flour on a plate.
- 9. Season the flour on the plate with salt.
- 10. Heat about 1 to 2 centimeters of oil in a pan over medium to high heat.
- 11. Set aside about five cauliflower slices.
- 12. Coat the slices first in the seasoned flour.
- 13. Then dip the floured slices into the batter.
- 14. Let the excess batter drip off for a moment.
- 15. Add the slices to the hot oil.
- 16. Fry the slices for about four minutes until golden brown, turning them occasionally.
- 17. Drain the finished poppers on kitchen paper.
- 18. Season the poppers with cumin and curry.
- 19. Serve the poppers immediately.
