🍰 Crispy Berry Puff Pastry Pastries

Ingredients
- mixed berries, frozen 100 g
- milk 250 ml
- sugar 20 g
- vanilla pudding powder 0.5 packet
- eggs 1 pc.
- wheat flour, Type 405 1 tbsp
- puff pastry 1 pc.
- powdered sugar 10 g
Instructions
- 1. If necessary, let the berries thaw overnight in the refrigerator.
- 2. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 3. In a small bowl, mix three tablespoons of milk with sugar and vanilla pudding powder until you have a smooth paste.
- 4. Bring the remaining milk to a boil in a saucepan.
- 5. Stir the prepared pudding paste into the boiling milk while stirring constantly.
- 6. Let the mixture continue to boil for about one minute.
- 7. Reduce the heat and simmer the pudding mixture for about four minutes until it becomes thick.
- 8. Whisk one egg in a separate bowl.
- 9. Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the puff pastry on it.
- 10. Press the dough flat lightly.
- 11. Cut the dough into eight equal rectangles.
- 12. Brush the edges of the dough rectangles with the whisked egg.
- 13. Distribute the cooled pudding evenly in the center of the dough sheets.
- 14. Place the drained berries on top of the pudding.
- 15. Fold the egg-brushed edges of the dough over the filling.
- 16. Press the edges firmly to ensure the filling does not slip out.
- 17. Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 18. Brush the top of the pastries once more with the remaining egg.
- 19. Bake the pastries in the oven for about twenty minutes.
- 20. Remove the pastries when they are crispy and golden brown.
- 21. Carefully remove the finished pastries from the oven.
- 22. Sprinkle powdered sugar over the pastries.
- 23. Serve the pastries warm or cooled.
