Ingredients
- pears 1 kg
- lemons 1 pcs
- vanilla sugar 1 packet
- jam sugar 500 g
Instructions
- 1. Wash the pears thoroughly.
- 2. Halve the pears and remove the core.
- 3. Cut the flesh into small cubes.
- 4. Halve the lemon.
- 5. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
- 6. Put the pear cubes, lemon juice, vanilla sugar, and pectin sugar into a pot.
- 7. Heat the mixture on medium heat until it boils.
- 8. Let the jam simmer for about 4 minutes.
- 9. Take one teaspoon of the warm jam.
- 10. Place the sample on a cold plate.
- 11. Wait about 1 minute and check if the jam sets.
- 12. If it is still liquid, cook it for 1 to 2 minutes longer.
- 13. Repeat the setting test until the jam is firm.
- 14. Fill the hot jam into four clean screw-top jars.
- 15. Seal the jars tightly.
- 16. Turn the jars upside down so they stand on their lids.
- 17. Let the jars cool down completely.
