  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius using top and bottom heat.
  2. 2. Cut the lime in half and squeeze out the juice.
  3. 3. Place the cranberries in a bowl and pour the lime juice over them to let them soak.
  4. 4. Coarsely chop the hazelnuts into small pieces.
  5. 5. Peel the pears and cut them into quarters.
  6. 6. Remove the cores from the pear quarters.
  7. 7. Dice the cored pears into small cubes.
  8. 8. Add the chopped hazelnuts and the diced pears to the bowl with the cranberries.
  9. 9. Sprinkle 0.5 teaspoons of cinnamon and a pinch of cardamom over the fruit and nut mixture.
  10. 10. Mix all the filling ingredients together thoroughly.
  11. 11. Set the prepared filling aside.
  12. 12. Cut 250 grams of butter into pieces and place them in a saucepan.
  13. 13. Melt the butter over low heat.
  14. 14. Let the melted butter cool down slightly until it is lukewarm.
  15. 15. Take a large mixing bowl and add sugar, ground nuts, flour, baking powder, and 0.5 teaspoons of cinnamon.
  16. 16. Mix the dry ingredients in the bowl briefly.
  17. 17. Pour the cooled melted butter into the bowl.
  18. 18. Use a hand mixer with dough hooks to beat the butter into the flour mixture.
  19. 19. Add one egg to the dough mixture.
  20. 20. Continue mixing the dough until it is smooth and homogeneous.
  21. 21. Take a 26-centimeter springform pan and grease it with 1 tablespoon of butter.
  22. 22. Take two-thirds of the dough and press it into the pan.
  23. 23. Press the dough up the sides to form a 2 to 3 centimeter high edge.
  24. 24. Spread the prepared cranberry-pear mixture evenly over the dough base.
  25. 25. Take the remaining dough and crumble it over the fruit filling.
  26. 26. Place the cake in the preheated oven.
  27. 27. Bake the cake for about 50 minutes.
