🍰 Creamy Pear Crumble with Caramel and Ice Cream

Ingredients
- Pears 6 pcs.
- Lemon 1 pc.
- Vanilla pod 1 pc.
- Sugar 150 g
- Macadamia nuts in caramel with honey 4 tbsp
- Butter 50 g
- Wheat flour, Type 405 100 g
- Vanilla-Macadamia ice cream with caramel sauce 280 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- 2. Wash the pears thoroughly.
- 3. Peel the pears.
- 4. Cut the pears into quarters.
- 5. Remove the cores from the pear pieces.
- 6. Dice the pears roughly.
- 7. Cut the lemon in half.
- 8. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
- 9. Split the vanilla pod in half lengthwise.
- 10. Scrape out the seeds (pulp) from the vanilla pod.
- 11. Place the diced pears into a pot.
- 12. Pour 50 milliliters of water over the pears.
- 13. Add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
- 14. Add the vanilla seeds to the pot.
- 15. Add 100 grams of sugar to the pot.
- 16. Stir all ingredients in the pot thoroughly.
- 17. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 18. Reduce the heat to medium.
- 19. Place the lid on the pot.
- 20. Let the pears cook for about 8 minutes.
- 21. Check the pears for tenderness.
- 22. The pears should be soft but still have a slight bite.
- 23. Chop the macadamia nuts very finely.
- 24. Take a bowl.
- 25. Add the butter to the bowl.
- 26. Add the flour to the bowl.
- 27. Add the remaining 50 grams of sugar to the bowl.
- 28. Add the finely chopped macadamia nuts to the bowl.
- 29. Mix the ingredients until crumbly.
- 30. Take a baking dish.
- 31. Spread the pears along with the cooking liquid in the dish.
- 32. Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the top.
- 33. Place the baking dish in the oven.
- 34. Bake the crumble for about 20 to 25 minutes.
- 35. Make sure the surface turns golden brown.
- 36. Avoid letting the crumble become too dark.
- 37. Remove the crumble from the oven earlier if it gets too dark.
- 38. Let the finished crumble cool down slightly.
- 39. Portion the crumble onto plates.
- 40. Add vanilla macadamia ice cream.
- 41. Drizzle caramel sauce over the ice cream.
- 42. Serve the dessert immediately.
