🍰 Classic Pear Helene

Ingredients
- Pears 4 pcs.
- White wine, sweet 350 ml
- Sugar 100 g
- Vanilla pod 1 pc.
- Oat drink 220 ml
- Chocolate, dark 160 g
- Vanilla ice cream 4 tbsp
- Almonds, sliced 4 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Peel the pears and cut them in half lengthwise.
- 2. Remove the core from the pear halves.
- 3. Add wine, sugar, and a vanilla pod to a pot.
- 4. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it briefly comes to a boil.
- 5. Remove the vanilla pod from the liquid.
- 6. Slice the vanilla pod lengthwise.
- 7. Scrape out the vanilla seeds with the back of a knife.
- 8. Add the vanilla seeds back into the sweetening liquid.
- 9. Place the pear halves into the hot syrup.
- 10. Simmer the pears for about 6 minutes over medium heat until tender.
- 11. Gently turn the pears while they cook.
- 12. Let the pears cool down in the remaining liquid.
- 13. Heat oat drink in a small pot while stirring.
- 14. Melt chocolate in the warm oat drink liquid.
- 15. Arrange the cooled pears on a plate.
- 16. Add one scoop of vanilla ice cream to each pear.
- 17. Pour the chocolate sauce over the dessert.
- 18. Sprinkle the dish with sliced almonds.
- 19. Serve the dessert immediately and enjoy.
