  2. 2. Halve the bell pepper and remove the stem and seeds.
  3. 3. Cut the bell pepper into large chunks.
  4. 4. Clean the mushrooms with a kitchen towel if necessary.
  5. 5. Halve the onions and remove the outer skin.
  6. 6. Cut the onion halves into quarters.
  7. 7. Pat the tofu dry with a kitchen towel.
  8. 8. Cut the tofu into large cubes.
  9. 9. Whisk the barbecue sauce with the beet syrup in a bowl.
  10. 10. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
  11. 11. Add garlic powder and paprika powder to the sauce.
  12. 12. Add the prepared vegetables and tofu to the sauce.
  13. 13. Mix everything thoroughly so that everything is well marinated.
  14. 14. Thread the vegetables and tofu onto skewers as desired.
  15. 15. Preheat the grill.
  16. 16. Place the BBQ tofu skewers on the grill.
  17. 17. Grill the skewers for about 8 minutes until golden brown.
  18. 18. Remove the skewers from the grill.
  19. 19. Serve the skewers immediately.
