Ingredients
- basilisk, fresh 50 g
- organic limes 1 pc.
- sunflower oil 300 ml
Instructions
- 1. Wash the basil thoroughly, shake it dry, and remove the thick stems. Rinse the lime with hot water and peel the skin into wide strips using a vegetable peeler.
- 2. Place all ingredients in a container with a wide opening. Pour in enough oil to completely cover everything. Seal the container and let it infuse in a cool, dark place for 3 days.
- 3. Strain the oil through a sieve and press the basil well. Transfer the oil into a clean, dry bottle. The basil oil is great for salad dressings, drizzling over crostini, and for steaming vegetables.
