🍽️ Grill Skewers with Steak, Potatoes and Leek

Ingredients
- Yellow onions 1 pc.
- Garlic cloves 2 pc.
- Sunflower oil 5 tbsp
- ketchup 150 g
- Tomato paste 1 tbsp
- Honey 40 g
- Light balsamic vinegar 3 tbsp
- Dried Herbs of Provence Pinch
- Sweet paprika Pinch
- Black ground pepper Pinch
- Pork minute steaks 600 g
- Potatoes, mostly waxy 500 g
- Salt Pinch
- Leek 1 pc.
Instructions
- 1. Cut the onion in half lengthwise and peel it.
- 2. Dice the onion finely.
- 3. Peel the garlic.
- 4. Finely chop the garlic.
- 5. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium heat.
- 6. Sauté the onion and garlic for about 3 minutes until translucent.
- 7. Add ketchup, tomato paste, honey, vinegar, Herbs de Provence, paprika powder, and pepper to the pan.
- 8. Let the marinade simmer for 4 minutes.
- 9. Rinse the minute steaks under cold water.
- 10. Pat the steaks dry thoroughly.
- 11. Cut the steaks into wide strips.
- 12. Brush the steak strips with the prepared marinade.
- 13. Let the steaks marinate covered in the refrigerator.
- 14. Soak the wooden skewers in cold water.
- 15. Wash the potatoes thoroughly.
- 16. Halve the potatoes.
- 17. Place the potatoes in a pot with salted water.
- 18. Bring the water to a boil.
- 19. Cook the potatoes covered over medium heat for about 15 minutes.
- 20. Drain the potatoes.
- 21. Rinse the potatoes with cold water.
- 22. Let the potatoes cool down.
- 23. Wash the leek.
- 24. Remove the root ends from the leek.
- 25. Cut the leek into pieces about 4 cm in size.
- 26. Add the leek pieces to the potatoes for about 3 minutes.
- 27. Drain the potatoes and leek.
- 28. Rinse the mixture with cold water.
- 29. Let the potatoes and leek cool down.
- 30. Let the steak strips drain well.
- 31. Fold each steak strip once.
- 32. Thread the folded steak strips alternately with the potatoes and leek pieces onto the soaked skewers.
- 33. Lightly brush the skewers with the remaining oil.
- 34. Season the skewers with salt and pepper.
- 35. Grill the skewers on an oiled grill grate over hot coals for about 7 minutes per side.
- 36. Alternatively, pan-fry the skewers over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes from each side.
