🍽️ Grilled Chicken Drumsticks with BBQ Spice

Ingredients
- garlic cloves 1 pc.
- chili, ground 1 tsp
- paprika, sweet 1 tsp
- pepper, black ground 0.5 tsp
- salt pinch
- oil 2 tbsp
- tomato paste 1 tbsp
- balsamic vinegar, light 0.5 tsp
- honey 0.5 tsp
- chicken drumsticks 800 g
Instructions
- 1. Peel the garlic and chop it very finely.
- 2. Place the chopped garlic into a bowl.
- 3. Add chili powder, paprika powder, pepper, and one teaspoon of salt.
- 4. Mix the spices thoroughly together.
- 5. Take a second, separate bowl.
- 6. Take half of the spice mixture and put it into this new bowl.
- 7. Add one tablespoon of oil to this half.
- 8. Stir the spices and oil well.
- 9. Set this bowl with the oil-spice mixture aside.
- 10. Take a small frying pan.
- 11. Heat the remaining oil in the pan.
- 12. Add the remaining spice mixture to the hot pan.
- 13. Add tomato paste.
- 14. Fry the mixture for about 1 to 2 minutes.
- 15. Remove the pan from the heat.
- 16. Add vinegar.
- 17. Add honey.
- 18. Season the sauce with a little salt if needed.
- 19. Let the sauce cool down.
- 20. Rinse the chicken drumsticks under running water.
- 21. Dry the drumsticks with kitchen paper.
- 22. Carefully lift the skin on the drumsticks.
- 23. Rub the drumsticks under the skin with the oil-spice mixture.
- 24. Place the skin back over the meat.
- 25. Press the skin down gently.
- 26. Preheat your grill.
- 27. Place the drumsticks on the hot grill.
- 28. Grill the drumsticks for about 20 to 25 minutes.
- 29. Turn the drumsticks regularly while grilling.
- 30. Ensure that the meat is fully cooked.
- 31. Brush the drumsticks with the BBQ sauce in the last 3 to 5 minutes.
- 32. Turn the drumsticks regularly in this phase as well.
