🍰 Banana Caramel Trifle

Ingredients
- butter 50 g
- sugar 75 g
- whipping cream 200 g
- coffee, instant 6 tsp
- water 6 tbsp
- grapefruit 1 pc
- bananas 2 pc
- brioche loaf 0.5 pc
- dark rum 1 tbsp
- mascarpone 250 g
Instructions
- 1. Melt butter and sugar in a pan over medium heat.
- 2. Caramelize the mixture for about 3 to 4 minutes until it turns golden brown.
- 3. Add 100 ml of cream and stir briefly until the caramel dissolves.
- 4. Let the caramel sauce cool down.
- 5. Mix instant coffee powder with cold water in a bowl.
- 6. Halve the grapefruit and squeeze out the juice.
- 7. Peel the bananas and slice them thinly.
- 8. Mix the banana slices with the grapefruit juice.
- 9. Slice the brioche thinly and place the slices in a bowl.
- 10. Drizzle the brioche slices with 2 tablespoons of the coffee mixture and rum.
- 11. Distribute the banana slices evenly over the brioche.
- 12. Mix 2 teaspoons of caramel sauce thoroughly with the remaining coffee in a bowl.
- 13. Set this caramel-coffee mixture aside.
- 14. Stir the remaining caramel sauce smoothly with mascarpone in a separate bowl.
- 15. Whip 100 ml of cream stiffly in a tall container using a hand mixer.
- 16. Fold 2 tablespoons of coffee into the whipped cream.
- 17. Fold the mascarpone-caramel mixture into the sweetened cream.
- 18. Distribute this cream evenly over the bananas.
- 19. Garnish the dessert with the reserved caramel sauce.
- 20. Let the trifle chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
