🍽️ Crispy Baguettes with Ham and Cheese

Ingredients
- Emmental cheese block 100 g
- water 330 ml
- yeast, fresh 0.5 pcs
- wheat flour, Type 405 550 g
- salt pinch
- roasted onions 50 g
- bacon strips 100 g
Instructions
- 1. Put the Emmental cheese into the mixing container.
- 2. Chop the cheese for 10 seconds on speed 7.
- 3. Transfer the grated cheese pieces into a separate bowl.
- 4. Add 330 grams of water and the yeast to the mixing container.
- 5. Warm the mixture for 2 minutes at 37 degrees Celsius and speed 1.
- 6. Add the flour and 1 teaspoon of salt.
- 7. Knead the dough for 2 minutes on the dough kneading setting.
- 8. Add the roasted onions, the grated Emmental, and the diced bacon to the dough.
- 9. Knead everything together for another 2 minutes on the dough kneading setting.
- 10. Take the dough out and place it on a lightly floured work surface.
- 11. Divide the dough into 3 equal pieces.
- 12. Knead each dough piece vigorously.
- 13. Shape the dough pieces into elongated loaves.
- 14. Cover the loaves with cling film or a damp kitchen towel.
- 15. Let the dough rise for approx. 20 minutes.
- 16. Preheat the oven to 230 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 17. Score the loaves diagonally in the middle.
- 18. Bake the baguettes for approx. 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
- 19. Let the finished baguettes cool down in the oven or on the tray.
- 20. Slice the cooled baguettes.
- 21. Serve the baguettes and enjoy!
