🍽️ Oven-Baked Camembert with Thyme Honey

Ingredients
- Coulommiers de Caractére 700 g
- thyme, fresh 10 g
- honey 1 tsp
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- gherkins 100 g
- baguette 2 pcs.
Instructions
- 1. Take the soft cheese out of the fridge for a while so it reaches room temperature.
- 2. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 3. Cut four pieces of baking paper, each about 40 by 40 centimeters.
- 4. Lightly grease the baking paper pieces with butter.
- 5. Wrap the cheese in the prepared baking paper.
- 6. Place the packet in a baking dish.
- 7. Bake the cheese in the oven for about 10 minutes.
- 8. Wash the thyme sprigs under running water.
- 9. Shake them dry.
- 10. Strip the thyme leaves from the stems.
- 11. Finely chop the thyme leaves.
- 12. Take the baking dish with the cheese out of the oven.
- 13. Carefully open the baking paper packet.
- 14. Cut the cheese slice into a diamond pattern.
- 15. Drizzle honey over the scored cheese.
- 16. Season the cheese with salt and pepper.
- 17. Sprinkle the chopped thyme leaves evenly over the top.
- 18. Place the packet back in the oven, open.
- 19. Bake the cheese for another 10 minutes until it is golden brown.
- 20. Take the finished baked camembert out of the oven.
- 21. Serve the cheese immediately with cornichons and baguette.
