🍽️ Asian Meatballs with Steamed Vegetables and Rice

Ingredients
- yellow onions 1 pc.
- garlic cloves 1 pc.
- ginger, fresh 5 g
- carrots 200 g
- peppers, red 1 pc.
- broccoli 400 g
- minced meat, mixed 500 g
- salt 1 tsp
- pepper, black ground pinch
- jasmine rice 250 g
- water 1500 ml
- soy sauce 4 tbsp
- cornstarch 2 tbsp
- tomato paste 1 tbsp
- vegetable broth 400 ml
Instructions
- 1. Cut the onion in half and peel off the skin.
- 2. Peel the garlic cloves.
- 3. Peel the piece of ginger.
- 4. Peel the carrots and cut off the ends.
- 5. Slice the carrots into thin rounds.
- 6. Wash the bell pepper thoroughly.
- 7. Remove the core and seeds from the bell pepper.
- 8. Cut the bell pepper into thin strips.
- 9. Wash the broccoli.
- 10. Remove the tough stem at the bottom of the broccoli.
- 11. Break the broccoli into small, bite-sized florets.
- 12. Place the onion, garlic, and ginger into the mixing bowl.
- 13. Chop the ingredients for 5 seconds on speed 8.
- 14. Add the minced meat to the mixing bowl.
- 15. Add 1 teaspoon of salt.
- 16. Season with some pepper.
- 17. Mix everything for 20 seconds on speed 3.
- 18. Shape the meat mixture into 16 small balls.
- 19. Place the prepared vegetables into the deep steaming insert.
- 20. Place the cooking insert into the mixing bowl.
- 21. Pour the rice into the cooking insert.
- 22. Add water.
- 23. Close the mixing bowl with the steaming insert.
- 24. Preheat the device.
- 25. Steam the rice and vegetables on the steam setting for 15 minutes.
- 26. Whisk the soy sauce in a separate bowl.
- 27. Add the cornstarch to the soy sauce.
- 28. Add the tomato paste to the mixture.
- 29. Add the broth.
- 30. Stir the sauce until smooth.
- 31. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan on high heat.
- 32. Fry the meatballs on all sides for about 5 minutes.
- 33. Pour the prepared sauce over the meatballs in the pan.
- 34. Bring the sauce to a boil.
- 35. Adjust the seasoning of the sauce with salt if necessary.
- 36. Serve the meatballs with the rice and steamed vegetables.

- 38. Tip: If you like it spicy, add some chili powder to the sauce.
