  1. 1. Thoroughly wash the fresh herbs under running water.
  2. 2. Let the excess water drip off the leaves.
  3. 3. Carefully pick the leaves off the tough stems.
  4. 4. Rinse the lime under warm water.
  5. 5. Finely grate about one teaspoon of the green lime zest.
  6. 6. Cut the lime in half.
  7. 7. Squeeze the juice out of the lime.
  8. 8. Place the prepared herbs, peanuts, and lime juice into a tall blending cup.
  9. 9. Coarsely puree the ingredients using a hand blender.
  10. 10. Slowly pour the oil into the blending cup while continuing to blend.
  11. 11. Add the soy sauce and blend everything into a smooth paste.
  12. 12. Season the pesto with chili flakes, salt, and sugar to taste.
  13. 13. Fill the finished pesto into a clean jar with a capacity of about 250 milliliters.
  14. 14. Optionally pour a thin layer of oil over the surface to preserve it.
  15. 15. Seal the jar tightly and store it in a cool place.
