Ingredients
- onions, red 2 pcs.
- bell peppers, red 3 pcs.
- carrots 5 pcs.
- lemons 1 pc.
- garlic cloves 1 pc.
- ginger, fresh 20 g
- minced meat, mixed 600 g
- curry powder 1 tsp
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- oil 2 tbsp
- soy sauce 3 tbsp
- sesame, white 3 tbsp
- sugar pinch
- spring onions 2 pcs.
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with fan.
- 2. Cut the onions in half and peel them.
- 3. Cut the peeled onions into thin strips.
- 4. Wash the bell peppers thoroughly.
- 5. Cut the bell peppers in half and remove the stem.
- 6. Remove the core from the bell peppers.
- 7. Cut the cored bell peppers into thin strips.
- 8. Peel the carrots.
- 9. Trim the ends of the carrots.
- 10. Quarter the carrots lengthwise.
- 11. Wash the lemon.
- 12. Grate about one teaspoon of lemon zest.
- 13. Cut the lemon in half.
- 14. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
- 15. Peel the garlic.
- 16. Finely chop the garlic.
- 17. Peel the ginger.
- 18. Finely chop the ginger.
- 19. Place the ginger in a bowl.
- 20. Add half of the chopped garlic to the bowl.
- 21. Add the minced meat to the bowl.
- 22. Add the curry to the bowl.
- 23. Season the mixture with salt.
- 24. Season the mixture with pepper.
- 25. Mix all ingredients in the bowl thoroughly.
- 26. Form balls from the meat mixture.
- 27. Ensure the balls have a diameter of about three centimeters.
- 28. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet.
- 29. Cook the meatballs in the oven for about 20 minutes.
- 30. Heat oil in a pan over high heat.
- 31. Fry the carrots in the pan for about 3 minutes.
- 32. Add the onions to the pan.
- 33. Add the bell peppers to the pan.
- 34. Add the remaining garlic to the pan.
- 35. Deglaze the pan with about 50 milliliters of water.
- 36. Add the soy sauce to the pan.
- 37. Add the sesame to the pan.
- 38. Add the lemon zest to the pan.
- 39. Add two tablespoons of lemon juice to the pan.
- 40. Simmer the vegetable mixture for about 7 minutes.
- 41. Wash the spring onions.
- 42. Dry the spring onions.
- 43. Cut off the root ends of the spring onions.
- 44. Cut the spring onions into thin rings.
- 45. Take the meatballs out of the oven.
- 46. Plate the meatballs.
- 47. Season the sesame vegetables with salt.
- 48. Season the sesame vegetables with pepper.
- 49. Season the sesame vegetables with sugar.
- 50. Serve the sesame vegetables with the meatballs on the plates.
- 51. Garnish the dish with the spring onion rings.
