  2. 2. Wash the lemon thoroughly under running water.
  3. 3. Grate one teaspoon of the lemon zest.
  4. 4. Cut the lemon in half.
  5. 5. Squeeze the juice from the lemon halves.
  6. 6. Cut the onion in half.
  7. 7. Peel the onion halves.
  8. 8. Finely chop the onion.
  9. 9. Peel the garlic clove.
  10. 10. Finely chop the garlic.
  11. 11. Place the chopped onion into a bowl.
  12. 12. Add the chopped garlic to the same bowl.
  13. 13. Add the spices to the bowl.
  14. 14. Add one tablespoon of oil to the bowl.
  15. 15. Add the lemon juice to the bowl.
  16. 16. Mix the onion, garlic, spices, oil, and lemon juice together thoroughly.
  17. 17. Wash the zucchini thoroughly.
  18. 18. Cut off the ends of the zucchini.
  19. 19. Slice the zucchini lengthwise into slices.
  20. 20. Ensure the slices are about four to five millimeters thick.
  21. 21. Place the zucchini slices into the bowl with the marinade.
  22. 22. Toss the zucchini well with the marinade.
  23. 23. Arrange the marinated zucchini slices on a baking sheet.
  24. 24. Sprinkle the remaining spice mixture evenly over the zucchini.
  25. 25. Place the baking sheet into the preheated oven.
  26. 26. Bake the zucchini for about 20 minutes.
  27. 27. Turn the zucchini once during the baking time.
  28. 28. Remove the baking sheet from the oven when the zucchini are done.
  29. 29. Plate the zucchini.
  30. 30. Serve the zucchini immediately.
