🍽️ Arabian Spiced Zucchini

Ingredients
- Organic lemons 1 pc.
- Yellow onions 2 pcs.
- Garlic cloves 2 pcs.
- Cayenne pepper 0.25 tsp
- Sweet paprika 0.5 tsp
- Curry powder 0.5 tsp
- Cumin 0.25 tsp
- Salt 0.5 tsp
- Black ground pepper 0.25 tsp
- Olive oil 8 tbsp
- Zucchini 4 pcs.
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Set it to conventional heat (top and bottom heating).
- 2. Wash the lemon thoroughly under running water.
- 3. Grate one teaspoon of the lemon zest.
- 4. Cut the lemon in half.
- 5. Squeeze the juice from the lemon halves.
- 6. Cut the onion in half.
- 7. Peel the onion halves.
- 8. Finely chop the onion.
- 9. Peel the garlic clove.
- 10. Finely chop the garlic.
- 11. Place the chopped onion into a bowl.
- 12. Add the chopped garlic to the same bowl.
- 13. Add the spices to the bowl.
- 14. Add one tablespoon of oil to the bowl.
- 15. Add the lemon juice to the bowl.
- 16. Mix the onion, garlic, spices, oil, and lemon juice together thoroughly.
- 17. Wash the zucchini thoroughly.
- 18. Cut off the ends of the zucchini.
- 19. Slice the zucchini lengthwise into slices.
- 20. Ensure the slices are about four to five millimeters thick.
- 21. Place the zucchini slices into the bowl with the marinade.
- 22. Toss the zucchini well with the marinade.
- 23. Arrange the marinated zucchini slices on a baking sheet.
- 24. Sprinkle the remaining spice mixture evenly over the zucchini.
- 25. Place the baking sheet into the preheated oven.
- 26. Bake the zucchini for about 20 minutes.
- 27. Turn the zucchini once during the baking time.
- 28. Remove the baking sheet from the oven when the zucchini are done.
- 29. Plate the zucchini.
- 30. Serve the zucchini immediately.
