🍳 Fruity Apricot Jam

Ingredients
- apricots, fresh 1 kg
- lemons 1 pc
- vanilla sugar 1 packet
- jam sugar 500 g
Instructions
- 1. Wash the apricots thoroughly.
- 2. Halve the apricots and remove the pits.
- 3. Cut the fruit flesh into small cubes.
- 4. Halve the lemon.
- 5. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
- 6. Place the apricot cubes into a pot.
- 7. Add two tablespoons of lemon juice.
- 8. Add vanilla sugar to the pot.
- 9. Add pectin sugar to the pot.
- 10. Place the pot on medium heat.
- 11. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 12. Let the jam simmer for about four minutes.
- 13. Take one teaspoon of the warm jam.
- 14. Dab the jam onto a cold plate.
- 15. Wait for about one minute.
- 16. Check if the jam has set.
- 17. If it is still liquid, cook it for one to two minutes longer.
- 18. Repeat the setting test if necessary.
- 19. Fill the hot jam into four clean screw-top jars.
- 20. Seal the jars tightly.
- 21. Turn the jars upside down.
- 22. Let the jam cool down inside the jars.
