🍰 Chilly Apple Delight with Rum Raisins

Ingredients
- Raisins 40 g
- white rum 3 tbsp
- lemons 2 pcs
- apples, red 1 kg
- cinnamon 1 tsp
- sugar 175 g
Instructions
- 1. Place the raisins into a small bowl.
- 2. Pour the rum over the raisins.
- 3. Let the raisins soak in the rum for a while.
- 4. Cut the lemon into two halves.
- 5. Squeeze the juice from the lemon halves.
- 6. Peel the apples.
- 7. Cut each apple into two halves.
- 8. Remove the core from the apple halves.
- 9. Cut the apple flesh into small cubes.
- 10. Put the apple cubes into a pot.
- 11. Pour the lemon juice over the apples.
- 12. Sprinkle cinnamon over the apple-lemon mixture.
- 13. Add the sugar to the pot.
- 14. Mix all ingredients in the pot thoroughly.
- 15. Place the pot on the stove.
- 16. Set the heat to medium.
- 17. Bring the apple mixture to a boil.
- 18. Cook the apples over medium heat.
- 19. Stir the mixture occasionally.
- 20. Cook the apples for about 10 minutes.
- 21. Check if the apples are soft.
- 22. Puree the cooked apples until smooth.
- 23. Let the apple puree cool down.
- 24. Take the raisins out of the rum.
- 25. Pour the rum from the raisins into the apple puree.
- 26. Mix the rum well into the puree.
- 27. Pour the apple sorbet mixture into a shallow dish.
- 28. Place the dish in the freezer compartment.
- 29. Let the sorbet freeze for about 5 hours.
- 30. Wait until about 90 minutes have passed.
- 31. Check if the edges of the mixture start to freeze.
- 32. Stir the frozen mixture.
- 33. Repeat the stirring every 60 minutes.
- 34. Continue until the sorbet reaches the desired consistency.
- 35. Fold the soaked raisins into the finished sorbet.
- 36. Serve the sorbet immediately.
