🍰 Apple Rose Tart

Ingredients
- butter 160 g
- Sugar 75 g
- Eggs 2 pcs
- Wheat flour, Type 405 200 g
- Almonds, ground 50 g
- Salt pinch
- Apples, red 8 pcs
- Lemons 1 pc
- Cream cheese, plain 100 g
- Quark 40 % fat in dry matter 300 g
- Vanilla pudding powder 1 packet
- Cinnamon 1 tsp
- Brown sugar 50 g
Instructions
- 1. Quickly mix butter, sugar, eggs, flour, ground almonds, and salt in a bowl to form a dough.
- 2. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap.
- 3. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator until you need it.
- 4. Wash the apples thoroughly.
- 5. Peel the apples into long, thin strips using a vegetable peeler.
- 6. Roll the apple strips into flat roses.
- 7. Halve a lemon and squeeze out the juice.
- 8. Drizzle the apple roses with some lemon juice.
- 9. Cut the remaining apple flesh into small cubes.
- 10. Mix the apple cubes with lemon juice.
- 11. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- 12. Grease a tart pan and dust it with flour.
- 13. Roll out the dough slightly larger than the tart pan.
- 14. Place the dough in the pan and press it down gently.
- 15. Form a crust edge from the dough.
- 16. Trim the excess dough from the edge.
- 17. Prick the base several times with a fork.
- 18. Place baking paper on the dough base.
- 19. Spread dry legumes over the baking paper as pie weights.
- 20. Bake the base blind for about 10 to 15 minutes.
- 21. Remove the legumes and the baking paper.
- 22. Thoroughly mix cream cheese, quark, vanilla pudding powder, cinnamon, and cane sugar in a bowl.
- 23. Fold the apple cubes into the quark mixture.
- 24. Spread the filling over the tart base.
- 25. Place the apple roses into the filling.
- 26. Bake the tart for approx. 30 minutes in the oven until done.
- 27. Let the tart cool completely.
- 28. Serve the tart.
