  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with fan.
  2. 2. Wash the apples thoroughly.
  3. 3. Cut the apples into quarters and remove the core.
  4. 4. Slice the apple quarters thinly.
  5. 5. Place the apple slices in a pot with apple juice and two tablespoons of sugar.
  6. 6. Cook the apples for about two minutes until they are soft.
  7. 7. Drain the apple slices and let them cool down.
  8. 8. Melt the butter in a small pan.
  9. 9. Stir cinnamon and one tablespoon of sugar into the melted butter.
  10. 10. Roll out the puff pastry flat.
  11. 11. Cut the pastry into strips about five centimeters wide.
  12. 12. Brush each pastry strip with the cinnamon butter.
  13. 13. Spread one teaspoon of apricot jam on each strip.
  14. 14. Place the apple slices slightly overlapping along the long side of the pastry.
  15. 15. Roll the pastry tightly from the narrow side to form a rose shape.
  16. 16. Place each apple rose into a cup of a muffin tin.
  17. 17. Bake the muffins for about 15 minutes in the oven.
  18. 18. Sprinkle the finished muffins with powdered sugar.
  19. 19. Serve the muffins and enjoy.
