🍳 Apple Sauce Breakfast Buns

Ingredients
- Water 200 ml
- Yeast, fresh 0.5 pc.
- Sugar 1 tbsp
- Wheat flour, Type 405 500 g
- Salt pinch
- Butter 2 tbsp
- Apple sauce 100 g
- Eggs 2 pc.
Instructions
- 1. Warm up the water in a pot slightly.
- 2. Crumble the yeast into a small bowl.
- 3. Dissolve the yeast together with the sugar in the lukewarm water.
- 4. Let the mixture rest covered for about 15 minutes.
- 5. Mix flour, salt, and soft butter in a bowl.
- 6. Add the yeast water, the apple sauce, and the eggs.
- 7. Knead everything into a smooth dough.
- 8. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel.
- 9. Let the dough rise in a warm place for approx. 30 minutes.
- 10. Wait until the dough has approximately doubled in size.
- 11. Knead the dough briefly again.
- 12. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions.
- 13. Shape the portions into balls.
- 14. Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 15. Let the buns rise for another approx. 30 minutes.
- 16. Preheat the oven to 180 °C (top/bottom heat).
- 17. Bake the apple sauce buns for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
