🍰 Crunchy Apple Crumble Cake

Ingredients
- Egg 1 pc.
- Quark 40 % fat in total 150 g
- Milk 50 ml
- Oil 50 ml
- Wheat flour, Type 405 400 g
- Sugar 100 g
- Salt pinch
- Baking powder 1 packet
- Apples, red 800 g
- butter 50 g
- Icing sugar 1 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Whisk one egg, quark, milk, and oil in a large bowl until smooth.
- 3. Combine 300 grams of flour, 50 grams of sugar, a pinch of salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl and mix the dry ingredients.
- 4. Add the flour mixture to the quark-oil liquid.
- 5. Knead the dough with a hand mixer using dough hooks until it comes together.
- 6. Dust a work surface with a little flour and shape the dough into a ball.
- 7. Peel the apples and cut them into wedges.
- 8. Remove the core from the apple wedges.
- 9. Mix butter, 50 grams of sugar, and 100 grams of flour in a small bowl until crumbly streusel form.
- 10. Place the streusel in the refrigerator for later.
- 11. Line a 28-centimeter springform pan with baking paper.
- 12. Lightly grease the sides of the pan.
- 13. Roll out the dough on the floured surface into a round base.
- 14. Place the dough in the pan and press up a border about 3 centimeters high.
- 15. Prick the dough base several times with a fork.
- 16. Distribute the apple wedges evenly over the dough base.
- 17. Take the streusel out of the refrigerator and distribute them over the apples.
- 18. Bake the cake for about 60 minutes in the preheated oven.
- 19. Carefully remove the cake from the oven.
- 20. Let the cake cool completely in the pan.
- 21. Dust the cooled cake with powdered sugar before serving.
