Ingredients
- apples, red 1 kg
- lemons 1 pc.
- sugar with pectin 500 g
Instructions
- 1. Wash the apples thoroughly.
- 2. Halve the apples and remove the core.
- 3. Cut the apple flesh into small cubes.
- 4. Halve the lemon.
- 5. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
- 6. Put the apple cubes, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, and the jam sugar into a pot.
- 7. Heat the mixture on medium heat until it boils.
- 8. Let the jam simmer for about 4 minutes.
- 9. Take one teaspoon of the hot jam.
- 10. Dab the jam onto a cold plate.
- 11. Wait about 1 minute and check if the jam sets.
- 12. If it is still liquid, cook it for another 1 to 2 minutes and repeat the test.
- 13. Fill the hot jam into 4 clean screw-top jars (250 ml each).
- 14. Seal the jars tightly.
- 15. Place the sealed jars upside down on their lids to let them cool.
