  2. 2. Halve the apples and remove the core.
  3. 3. Cut the apple flesh into small cubes.
  4. 4. Halve the lemon.
  5. 5. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
  6. 6. Put the apple cubes, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, and the jam sugar into a pot.
  7. 7. Heat the mixture on medium heat until it boils.
  8. 8. Let the jam simmer for about 4 minutes.
  9. 9. Take one teaspoon of the hot jam.
  10. 10. Dab the jam onto a cold plate.
  11. 11. Wait about 1 minute and check if the jam sets.
  12. 12. If it is still liquid, cook it for another 1 to 2 minutes and repeat the test.
  13. 13. Fill the hot jam into 4 clean screw-top jars (250 ml each).
  14. 14. Seal the jars tightly.
  15. 15. Place the sealed jars upside down on their lids to let them cool.
