🍰 Crispy Apple Galette

Ingredients
- apples, red 5 pcs.
- cinnamon pinch
- sugar 100 g
- vanilla sugar 1 tsp
- salt pinch
- pizza dough with tomato sauce 1 pcs.
- butter 1 tbsp
- eggs 1 pcs.
- almonds, whole 100 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Wash the apples thoroughly.
- 3. Cut the apples into quarters and remove the core.
- 4. Cut the apple wedges into very thin strips.
- 5. Place the apple strips into a bowl.
- 6. Sprinkle the apples with cinnamon, sugar, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt.
- 7. Mix the ingredients in the bowl well together.
- 8. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured work surface.
- 9. Shape the dough into a square.
- 10. Place a large plate on the dough and cut a round circle using a knife.
- 11. Place the dough circle on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 12. Spread some butter on the dough, but leave a border of about 5 centimeters free.
- 13. Distribute the seasoned apple strips evenly over the buttered dough.
- 14. Fold the dough edges over the apples one by one.
- 15. Press the overhanging corners of the dough down slightly.
- 16. Separate an egg and save the egg white for another purpose.
- 17. Brush the dough edges with the egg yolk.
- 18. Chop the almonds coarsely.
- 19. Sprinkle the chopped almonds over the galette.
- 20. Bake the apple galette in the oven for about 25 minutes.
- 21. Remove the galette when it is baked golden brown.
