  1. 1. Cut the onions in half, peel them, and slice them into thin strips.
  2. 2. Peel the apples, cut them in half, remove the core, and dice the flesh into small cubes.
  3. 3. Rinse the figs under running water and cut them into small cubes as well.
  4. 4. Wash the orange thoroughly with hot water.
  5. 5. Grate about one teaspoon of the orange peel finely.
  6. 6. Squeeze the juice out of the orange.
  7. 7. Wash the coriander and shake it dry.
  8. 8. Pick the coriander leaves off the stems and chop them finely.
  9. 9. Place the onions, apple cubes, fig cubes, orange peel, orange juice, vinegar, salt, and coriander into a tall pot.
  10. 10. Bring the mixture to a boil on the stove.
  11. 11. Let the chutney simmer for about 10 minutes until the fruits are soft.
  12. 12. Stir the honey and sugar into the soft fruit mixture.
  13. 13. Let the chutney simmer for another 15 minutes while stirring constantly.
  14. 14. Wait until the liquid has almost completely evaporated and the chutney has become thick.
  15. 15. Rinse clean jars (250 ml each) with hot water.
  16. 16. Fill the hot chutney into the prepared jars up to the rim.
  17. 17. Seal the jars tightly and let them cool down.
