🍽️ Crunchy Apple and Fig Chutney

Ingredients
- onions, yellow 5 pcs
- apples, red 2 kg
- figs 250 g
- oranges 1 pc
- coriander, fresh 20 g
- balsamic vinegar, light 200 ml
- salt 2 tsp
- honey 4 tbsp
- sugar 200 g
Instructions
- 1. Cut the onions in half, peel them, and slice them into thin strips.
- 2. Peel the apples, cut them in half, remove the core, and dice the flesh into small cubes.
- 3. Rinse the figs under running water and cut them into small cubes as well.
- 4. Wash the orange thoroughly with hot water.
- 5. Grate about one teaspoon of the orange peel finely.
- 6. Squeeze the juice out of the orange.
- 7. Wash the coriander and shake it dry.
- 8. Pick the coriander leaves off the stems and chop them finely.
- 9. Place the onions, apple cubes, fig cubes, orange peel, orange juice, vinegar, salt, and coriander into a tall pot.
- 10. Bring the mixture to a boil on the stove.
- 11. Let the chutney simmer for about 10 minutes until the fruits are soft.
- 12. Stir the honey and sugar into the soft fruit mixture.
- 13. Let the chutney simmer for another 15 minutes while stirring constantly.
- 14. Wait until the liquid has almost completely evaporated and the chutney has become thick.
- 15. Rinse clean jars (250 ml each) with hot water.
- 16. Fill the hot chutney into the prepared jars up to the rim.
- 17. Seal the jars tightly and let them cool down.
