  1. 1. Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm water with the sugar in a bowl.
  2. 2. Let the mixture rest covered for about 10 minutes.
  3. 3. Add the flour, the salt, and 4 tablespoons of oil.
  4. 4. Knead everything into a smooth dough.
  5. 5. Let the dough rise in a warm place covered for about 1 hour until it has doubled in size.
  6. 6. Place the olives and the peppers in a colander to drain.
  7. 7. Cut the peppers into thin strips.
  8. 8. Knead the dough again briefly.
  9. 9. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to the size of the baking sheet.
  10. 10. Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  11. 11. Let the dough rise covered again for approx. 30 minutes.
  12. 12. Preheat the oven to 225 °C (top/bottom heat).
  13. 13. Press indentations into the dough with floured fingers.
  14. 14. Drizzle 3 tablespoons of oil evenly over the dough.
  15. 15. Sprinkle some sea salt over it.
  16. 16. Distribute the olives and pepper strips evenly on top.
  17. 17. Press the toppings lightly into the dough.
  18. 18. Bake the focaccia for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
  19. 19. Enjoy the antipasti focaccia immediately while warm.
