  1. 1. Slice the vanilla pod lengthwise.
  2. 2. Scrape the vanilla seeds out of the pod with a knife.
  3. 3. Place the empty vanilla pod, the seeds, and the black tea into a pot.
  4. 4. Pour boiling water over everything.
  5. 5. Let the tea steep for about four minutes.
  6. 6. Strain the liquid or remove the tea bags and vanilla pod.
  7. 7. Place the pineapple chunks into a colander.
  8. 8. Let the pineapple drain well.
  9. 9. Mix the finished tea with the pineapple juice in the pot.
  10. 10. Heat the mixture again.
  11. 11. Sweeten the punch to taste with sugar.
  12. 12. Warm the pineapple chunks briefly in the hot tea mixture.
  13. 13. Pour the finished punch into glasses.
  14. 14. Enjoy the punch immediately.
