🍳 American Sandwich with Waldorf Salad

Ingredients
- Organic lemons 1 pc.
- Apples, green 1 pc.
- Stalk celery 100 g
- Walnut kernels 50 g
- Mayonnaise 60 g
- Yogurt, plain 60 g
- Salt pinch
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Mini romaine 1 pc.
- Grapes, dark 100 g
- Toast bread 8 slices
- Boiled ham 8 slices
Instructions
- 1. Wash the lemon thoroughly, halve it, and squeeze out the juice. Wash the apple, peel it, quarter it, remove the seeds, and cut into small cubes. Wash the stalk celery (save the tender greens) and also dice finely. Chop the walnuts finely.
- 2. In a bowl, mix the apple, celery, walnuts, mayonnaise, and yogurt together and season with lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Set the mixture aside to let the flavors meld.
- 3. Tear the lettuce into small pieces, remove the core, wash it, and spin it dry in a salad spinner. Wash the grapes and quarter them. Mix both into the salad and season to taste with salt and pepper.
- 4. Toast the toast slices lightly if desired, and generously spread the Waldorf salad onto four slices of bread. Top with the reserved celery greens and ham, place the remaining toast slices on top, and press down gently. Cut the sandwiches in half diagonally and serve. Enjoy your meal!
