  2. 2. Bring the milk to a brief boil in a pot.
  3. 3. Remove the pot from the heat immediately.
  4. 4. Stir the chopped chocolate into the hot milk until it has completely melted.
  5. 5. Whisk the vanilla extract, egg yolks, powdered sugar, and cream together in a stainless steel bowl.
  6. 6. Pour the warm chocolate milk into the egg yolk mixture while stirring constantly.
  7. 7. Place the bowl over a pot of hot water (bain-marie).
  8. 8. Stir the liqueur in the water bath for about 5 to 10 minutes until it is creamy.
