🍽️ Adana-Kebap Skewers with Roasted Bell Peppers and Bean Hummus

Ingredients
- peppers, red 2 pcs.
- peppers, yellow 3 pcs.
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- onions, yellow 1 pcs.
- mint, fresh 20 g
- cumin 0.5 tsp
- ground beef 600 g
- eggs 1 pcs.
- garlic cloves 1 pcs.
- olive oil 3 tbsp
- sugar pinch
- white beans in can 500 g
- honey 1 tbsp
- vinegar 1 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Wash the bell peppers thoroughly under running water.
- 3. Cut the bell peppers into quarters.
- 4. Remove the stem and seeds from the bell pepper quarters.
- 5. Season the pepper pieces with a little salt and pepper.
- 6. Place the peppers on a baking sheet with the skin side facing up.
- 7. Cook the peppers for about 15 minutes on the middle rack in the oven.
- 8. Halve the onion and peel it.
- 9. Cut the onion into fine dice.
- 10. Wash the mint and shake it dry.
- 11. Pluck the mint leaves from the stems.
- 12. Cut the mint leaves into fine strips.
- 13. Add the onion dice and half of the mint to a bowl.
- 14. Add cumin, minced meat, egg, and salt to the bowl.
- 15. Mix all ingredients in the bowl thoroughly.
- 16. Distribute the meat mixture evenly onto 8 wooden skewers.
- 17. Press the meat mixture firmly onto the skewers.
- 18. Place the Adana kebab skewers on a different baking sheet.
- 19. Cook the skewers together with the peppers in the oven for another 15 minutes.
- 20. Peel the garlic and chop it roughly.
- 21. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and sugar in a pan over medium heat.
- 22. Sauté the chopped garlic for about 2 minutes in the pan.
- 23. Drain the beans in a sieve.
- 24. Place the garlic, beans, honey, 2 tablespoons of cold water, vinegar, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil into a tall container.
- 25. Puree the ingredients until you reach the desired consistency.
- 26. Season the hummus with salt and pepper to taste.
- 27. Stir the remaining mint into the bean hummus.
- 28. Take the Adana kebab skewers and the roasted peppers out of the oven.
- 29. Arrange the skewers and peppers on plates.
- 30. Serve the white bean hummus alongside.
