  1. 1. Fill a pot with some water and bring it to a boil.
  2. 2. Roughly chop the chocolate.
  3. 3. Place the chopped chocolate into a heatproof bowl.
  4. 4. Pour some water over the chocolate in the bowl.
  5. 5. Place the bowl with the chocolate over the pot with the boiling water (bain-marie).
  6. 6. Let the chocolate melt in the bain-marie.
  7. 7. Fill a large bowl with ice cubes.
  8. 8. Remove the bowl with the melted chocolate from the pot.
  9. 9. Place the bowl with the chocolate into the large bowl with the ice.
  10. 10. Beat the chocolate slowly with a hand mixer and beaters.
  11. 11. Continue beating until the chocolate mixture has cooled down.
  12. 12. Place the mousse in the refrigerator until serving.
