  1. 1. Wash the asparagus thoroughly, remove or simply snap off the tough ends, and blanch in boiling water for about 2–3 minutes depending on thickness. Then drain well.
  2. 2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into equal-sized rectangles. Spread each piece with cream cheese and season with salt, pepper, and herbs.
  3. 3. Place a few asparagus spears on the dough, roll up, and seal the edges well. Brush with beaten egg and bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C for about 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
