🥤 Recipe for Juicy Chestnut Cake

Ingredients
- 250 g chestnuts (pre-cooked and peeled)
- 200 g butter
- 180 g sugar
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 4 eggs
- 120 g flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 100 g ground almonds
- 50 ml milk
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C (top/bottom heat) and grease a springform pan or line it with baking paper.
- 2. Puree the pre-cooked and peeled chestnuts until you have a smooth mixture.
- 3. Cream the butter with sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then fold in the chestnut puree.
- 4. Combine the flour with baking powder and ground almonds, then alternate adding it with the milk to the batter.
- 5. Pour the batter into the prepared springform, smooth the top, and bake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes. Perform a skewer test.
- 6. Allow the cake to cool completely, remove it from the pan, and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
