Ingredients
- 150 g soft butter
- 150 g sugar
- 3 eggs (Size M)
- 250 g wheat flour (Type 405)
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 150 ml egg liqueur
- 50–100 g chocolate sprinkles or small chocolate eggs for decoration
- 200 g soft butter for the frosting
- 300 g powdered sugar
- 4–5 tbsp egg liqueur for the frosting
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat and line a muffin tin with paper liners. Beat the butter with sugar until fluffy, add the eggs one by one and mix everything well. Mix flour, baking powder and salt and stir these alternately with the egg liqueur into the batter.
- 2. Fill the batter evenly into the 12 liners and bake the cupcakes for approx. 20 to 25 minutes, until they are golden yellow and cooked through. Let them cool completely afterwards.
- 3. For the frosting, beat the butter with powdered sugar until creamy and gradually stir in the egg liqueur until a smooth cream forms. Put the frosting into a piping bag and decorate the cooled cupcakes with it. Garnish with chocolate eggs or sprinkles if desired.
