🍝 Cheese Spätzle with Fried Onions

Ingredients
- 200 g Flour
- 2 Stk. Eggs
- 100 ml Milk
- 1 TL Salt
- 150 g Grated cheese (Emmental or mountain cheese)
- 2 Stk. Onions
- 30 g butter
Instructions
- 1. Mix flour, eggs, milk, and salt in a bowl to create a smooth batter.
- 2. Let the batter rest for 10 minutes.
- 3. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add salt.
- 4. Using a spaetzle board or press, drop the batter into the boiling water. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until they float.
- 5. Use a slotted spoon to remove the spätzle and let them drain briefly.
- 6. In a pan, heat the butter and fry the sliced onions until golden brown.
- 7. Mix the spätzle with the cheese, plate them, and top with the fried onions.
