  1. 1. Remove the stems from the 4 Portobello mushrooms and pat them dry.
  2. 2. Cut the mushroom caps into thick slices, about 1 cm thick.
  3. 3. Use a kitchen towel to blot away any extra moisture.
  4. 4. Mix the 100 g flour with 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp salt, and 1 tsp pepper.
  5. 5. Whisk the 2 eggs in a separate bowl with a fork.
  6. 6. Dip the mushroom slices one by one into the flour mixture.
  7. 7. Dip the floured mushrooms into the egg mixture.
  8. 8. Roll the mushrooms completely in the 150 g Panko breadcrumbs.
  9. 9. Place the breaded mushrooms in the basket of the air fryer.
  10. 10. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C.
  11. 11. Cook the mushroom poppers at 180 °C for 12 minutes, until golden brown.
  12. 12. Flip the mushrooms halfway through (about 6 minutes).
  13. 13. Check the mushrooms: the flesh should be tender, not rubbery.
  14. 14. If needed, cook the mushrooms for another 3 minutes.
  15. 15. Let the poppers rest in the basket for 2 minutes.
  16. 16. Serve the golden brown poppers hot with a yogurt dip.
