Ingredients
- 400g Pork cutlets
- 1 Red bell pepper
- 1 Onion
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 10g Fresh basil
- 10g Fresh thyme
- 10g Fresh oregano
- 2 EL Olive oil
- 1 TL Salt
- 1 TL Pepper
Instructions
- 1. Cut the red bell pepper into small dice. Important: Remove the stem and seeds first.
- 2. Dice the onion into small pieces too. Add it to the bell pepper dice.
- 3. Mince the 2 garlic cloves very finely. Caution: Garlic burns quickly, so add it later.
- 4. Wash the fresh herbs (basil, thyme, oregano) and shake them dry. Chop them finely.
- 5. Pat the 400 g pork chops dry with paper towels. Never wash them, as that spreads germs.
- 6. Season the chops with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp pepper. Rub the seasoning in well.
- 7. In a bowl, mix the chopped herbs, the vegetables, and the garlic with 2 tbsp olive oil.
- 8. Press the herb-vegetable mixture firmly onto the pork chops. Make sure everything is covered.
- 9. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C. This takes about 3 minutes.
- 10. Place the pork chops in the basket of the air fryer. Ensure there is enough space between the pieces.
- 11. Cook the pork chops at 180 °C for 15 minutes, until the crust is golden brown. Flip them after 7.5 minutes.
- 12. Check the cooking time: The herb crust should be golden brown and the meat should look juicy.
- 13. Remove the pork chops and let them rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.
- 14. Arrange the pork chops on plates. The dish is perfect when the crust is crispy.
