Ingredients
- 400g Ground Beef
- 2 EL Parsley
- 2 EL Chives
- 1 EL Basil
- 50g Bread Crumbs
- 1 Egg
- 1 TL Salt
- 1 TL Pepper
- 1 EL Olive Oil
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C. This takes about 3 minutes.
- 2. Wash the parsley, chives and basil under cold water.
- 3. Dry the herbs with a kitchen towel. Wet herbs will water down the meat mixture.
- 4. Finely chop the herbs. Use 2 tablespoons parsley, 2 tablespoons chives and 1 tablespoon basil.
- 5. Put the 400 g ground beef into a large bowl.
- 6. Add the 50 g breadcrumbs, the egg, the salt and pepper to the meat.
- 7. Add the chopped herbs to the meat mixture.
- 8. Knead everything well with your hands. The mixture needs to be firm and homogenous.
- 9. Form 12 equally sized meatballs from the mixture. Aim for about 3 cm diameter.
- 10. Place the meatballs in the air fryer basket. Make sure there is space between the meatballs.
- 11. Brush the meatballs thinly with 1 tablespoon olive oil. Use a brush.
- 12. Cook the meatballs at 180 °C for about 15 minutes, until they are golden brown. Turn them after 7 minutes.
- 13. Check for browning. The surface should be golden brown and firm.
- 14. Let the meatballs rest in the basket for 2 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.
- 15. Take the meatballs out of the air fryer. They are now cooked and juicy.
- 16. Serve the meatballs warm. Ideally: golden brown crust, pink and juicy inside.
