150 g dark chocolate couverture (90% cocoa content)
150 g salted butter
60 g California raisins
4 eggs (size M)
1 egg yolk
1 organic orange
70 g birch sugar
20 g almond flour
Nut mix (pecans, cashews, California raisins) for decoration
Instructions
1. Roughly chop the chocolate and melt it together with the butter. Finely chop the raisins. Wash the orange thoroughly under hot water and grate the zest from half of the fruit.
2. Beat the eggs, the egg yolk, the birch sugar, and the orange zest until creamy. Slowly stir the melted chocolate and butter mixture into the egg mixture. Gently fold in the almond flour and raisins at the end.
3. Pour the mixture into a square baking pan (approx. 24x24 cm) lined with baking paper. Sprinkle with the remaining nut and raisin mix. Bake the brownies at 175 °C in the preheated oven for about 16 minutes. Cut into squares after cooling and enjoy.
