  1. 1. Soak the bread slices in the milk and then squeeze them out completely.
  2. 2. Mix the squeezed bread with the minced meat, grated onion, egg yolk, parsley, salt, and sweet paprika in a bowl.
  3. 3. Form the mixture into about 12 equal-sized balls using wet hands.
  4. 4. Fry the balls in a third of the olive oil in a large pan or pot until golden brown and then remove them.
  5. 5. Pour off excess fat and fry the remaining balls in the remaining oil until golden brown as well.
  6. 6. Add the passed tomatoes to the pot, stir, return the fried balls, and simmer the sauce over low heat for 15 minutes.
